As an international group of companies, we take our social responsibilities very seriously. The protection of human health is our top priority in all of our business activities. We are aiming to reduce the risk of infection among our employees and their relatives as well as our business partners. In this way, we are helping to prevent infection and slow down the spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

All Liebherr companies worldwide are reacting flexibly according to the situation on site to protect their employees while maintaining key business processes as effectively as possible. They are undertaking various measures, including carrying out extensive hygiene management, re-organising areas of production to prevent the spread of infection, issuing guidelines on working from home and generally using remote forms of working instead of face-to-face meetings.

Bottlenecks in regions and countries severely affected by the coronavirus are currently the prime cause of problems in the supply chain. This has resulted in the temporary shutdown of certain factories or an adjustment in production capacities. All Liebherr divisions and companies have been working closely with suppliers and customers over recent days and weeks. This has helped us to return quickly and flexibly to normal production levels after the temporary shutdown of affected Liebherr factories, such as our plants in China.

Due to the dynamic developments, it is currently difficult to reliably predict how the coronavirus will affect business operations and the performance of the Liebherr Group. We are able to rely on our key strengths at this time, which include our financial autonomy, decentralised corporate structure and broad product portfolio that is structured according to country and market. The Liebherr Group is well positioned to overcome the challenges we will face during and after the coronavirus pandemic.

Our HR departments, company doctors, paramedics, safety specialists and all employees working in production and administration are helping us to make the right decisions and act in the most decisive way possible.
